What do all the Values do?
What do all the Values do?

Flicker style, smoothing, echo, panning, zoom, rotation

Updated over a week ago

Values unlock endless possibilities, and understanding them can allow you to jump right into your dream project ☁️ Here's a breakdown of the individual values and what they're capable of πŸ‘‡

For video details...

Strength

When controlling the Strength, you are controlling how much the neural network adds per frame. Small values make more cohesive animations in time but can look less refined after a while. Larger values change the frames more.

πŸ’‘ Tip: We recommend playing with Strength a bit to understand its functionality.

Smooth

This value controls the number of smoothing frames between AI outputs. Higher values make animations smoother and rendering faster - but high smooth settings (larger than 10) might make animations blurry.

πŸ’‘ Tip: For Trippy effects, you'd want to input a lower value (around 4) but the rendering timeframe may be slower.

Echo

There are two different echo values - Edge echo and Tile echo. Here's a breakdown of each πŸ‘‡

  • πŸ”ˆ Edge Echo - Stabilizes the edges of images with ControlNet which can result in shape stability

  • πŸ“£ Tile Echo - Tile-wise stability of the image with ControlNet which can result in something similar to regional stability

For more info about Echo, please check out this tutorial:

Panning

There are two different panning values - Horizontal and Vertical. Here's a breakdown of each πŸ‘‡

  • ↔️ Horizontal Pan - This allows you to move the camera to the right or left. Positive values pan to the right, negative values pan to the left.

  • ↕️ Vertical Pan: This allows you to move the camera up or down. Positive values pan upwards, negative values pan downwards.

Zoom

Zoom is factored by percentage per frame. Positive values zoom in, negative values zoom out. We recommend that you do not choose high values as this may have unexpected results, but you may want to play around with Zoom to see what works best for you.

Rotation

There are three different rotation values - Upward, Left and Right, and Clockwise. Here's a breakdown of each πŸ‘‡

  • ‴️ Upward Rotation: Rotation that moves upward or downward. Positive values have upwards rotation, negative values have downwards rotation.

  • β†ͺ️ Left and Right Rotation: Rotation that moves left or right. Positive values have right rotation, negative values have left rotation.

  • πŸ”„ Clockwise Rotation: Rotation that moves clockwise or counter-clockwise. Positive values have clockwise rotation, negative values have counter-clockwise rotation.
